Be kind to others
Scientific studies point to clear physical and mental benefits of supporting others. In particular the selfless act of volunteering, friends and family. And, the deeper the engagement the higher the feel-good factor. One recent European meta-analysis assessed benefits of volunteering and concluded that the average volunteer has a 57% chance of outliving the average person who does not volunteer.

Neighbourhood greetings
Saying hello to your neighbours is linked to higher wellbeing. Results were collected as part of a national Gallup National Health and Well-Being Index that looks at 5 elements: social, community, career, financial and physical well being. A person’s personal score in all areas is said to be closely related to regularly greeting up to a maximum of six neighbours.
