My name is Anastasia Patsas. I have been the reception for the Alzheimer society of Toronto for 8 years plus and I have to say in all the years I’ve work for the society, the Caregiver Solutions magazine has been such a great grab to take or read for our clients and caregivers who really do enjoy this magazine and even myself.

I am reaching out to you on how I can subscribe to receive more of the magazine. They are sent to us in a bunch of 15 in a box to the name of Joan Rocha who no longer works for the society, and it been quite some years before my time. I have meant to reach out on this the last little while and I finally have the change to do so. What is it I can do to continue receiving the caregiver magazines and if we can make some updates if needed. Thank you kindly.

Anastasia Patsas
Alzheimer Society of Toronto

Running on empty

How can I encourage my wife to slow down? She’s working and caring for her dad every spare minute she has since her mom passed away. Do you have an article I can give to her to read?

Brandon Bailey,
Miramichi, NB

Editor’s Note: Nicole Chevrier has a good article that you might find helpful called “Slow down and boost your metabolism.” You can find it at mentalhealthcommission.ca/blog

Pets and mess

I’ve had it with cleaning the cat litter in the house and the dog poo in the yard at my mother’s home. It’s too much on top of caring. I saw an old article about pet care and caregiving. Can you send me a copy?

Laurence Lombard,
North Hatley, QC

Editor’s Note: We’ve sent you a copy of the back issue. The article you mention is by Mary Bart and you can find it on our website at caregiversolutions.ca/caregiving/wise-advice/pets-loved-ones-and-caregiving.
