Northumberland Hills Hospital Community Mental Health Services

NHH’s community mental health services offer walk in counselling for youths and adults (age 7 and above) on Tuesdays from 8am- 4pm and Thursdays from 10am-6pm. These services don’t require referral from a physician and there are no limits on the number of times an individual can access these services

Community Care Northumberland

A Northumberland based organization that offers support for nutrition (i.e., Meals on Wheels), transportation around the County, In-home services, and wellness services – including physical wellness and community events for mental wellness. Northumberland Paramedics’ Community Paramedicine programs deliver non-emergency in-home health care directly to residents in need. This 24/7 service offers a phone line, home visits to vulnerable community members and seniors and aims to reduce the demand for emergency services. Home visits are available from 6 a.m. to midnight.

Northumberland Hills Hospital

The Northumberland Hills Hospital (NHH) delivers a broad range of acute, post-acute, outpatient and diagnostic services. Located in Coboutg, they have a number of offerings for caregivers including the recent launch of their Essential Care Partner (ECP) Program Pilot Project – which will focus on the unique needs of caregivers supporting patients in the hospital’s Post-Acute Specialty Services (PASS) unit (including Palliative Care and Integrated Stroke) in partnership with the Ontario Health Network of Northumberland and the Ontario Caregiver Association. Other supports include PACE talks which have been hosted as free public education sessions on a broad range of health and wellness topics.
