Obesity label medically flawed

Better than using the body mass index for all, a new study suggests two categories. “Clinical obesity” should be used for patients with a medical condition cause by their weight. Pre-clinically obese should be applied to those remaining “fat but fit” although at risk of disease.

Women disproportionately experience intimate partner violence (IPV) and are more likely to be killed by a partner. Now, data shows that the biological response to stressors and the chronic pain from abuse are a serious risk factor for these woman’s cardiovascular disease.

Looking after your dentures daily

Caring for complete or partial dentures requires 1. Taking them out each night and cleaning and massaging gums. 2. Cleaning dentures every day to remove plaque and tarter build up. 3. Soaking overnight in a special cleaner or in warm water and vinegar ( ½ and ½).

Menopause is having a moment

Previously seen as embarrassing and emotional and messy, menopause has moved into popular culture in a more positive way, primarily on the screen. With help celebrities and talk shows today we’re seeing menopause and peri-menopause depicted with more empathy, information and community building.
