Let them eat seaweed
A staple in the diets of many cultures around the world, seaweed it is not as commonly consumed in the Western world. However, this may be changing as some forms of seaweed are packed with protein, fibre, and polyphenols, which can help lower the risk of heart disease, diabetes, and some forms of cancer. Seaweed also contains iodine, which is essential for the thyroid to function. Although concerns have been raised regarding arsenic found in water some seaweed grows in, all seaweed sold for consumption are tested before seeing store shelves.
